Enterprise Development). The Fund was to support unconventional and innovative solutions to scale up ongoing and emerging pilots and highlight opportunities that might not have been noticed if not supported externally. SEED continued to implement based on the Challenge Fund agreement till August 2018. SEED's work was showcased at DEEPEN dissemination events to government and other education stakeholders in Kano and Ogun States, Nigeria. On 17 September 2018, SEED received the DEEPEN award for contributing to improving learning outcomes in private schools, especially for children from low-income households in Nigeria. SEED had reached a total of 715 schools with 65,170 children and 5,986 teaching &amp; non-teaching staff. By 2019, SEED started testing the \"Feasibility\" of its intervention to determine low-fee private school's willingness and ability to pay for support as a sustainability strategy. <\/p>                                            <\/div>\r\n                                        <\/div>\r\n                                    <\/li>\r\n                                <\/ul>\r\n                            <\/div>\r\n                            <div class=\"our-history__main-content-single\">\r\n                                <ul class=\"row list-unstyled\">\r\n                                    <li class=\"col-xl-6 col-lg-6\">\r\n                                        <div class=\"our-history__content-two\">\r\n                                            <div class=\"our-history__content-two-title-box\">\r\n                                                <div class=\"our-history__content-two-circle-one\">\r\n                                                    <div class=\"our-history__content-two-circle-two\">\r\n                                                        <div class=\"our-history__content-two-circle-three\"><\/div>\r\n                                                    <\/div>\r\n                                                <\/div>\r\n                                                <p class=\"our-history__content-two-sub-title our-history__content-two-sub-title\">22 April 2020<\/p><h3 class=\"our-history__content-two-title our-history__content-two-title\">COVID-19 Changes Everything<\/h3>                                            <\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"our-history__content-two-text-box\">\r\n                                                <p class=\"our-history__content-one-text our-history__content-one-text\">SEED faced great vulnerability when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. School closures and the need for aid for the school community (children, parents, staff and owners\/leaders) led to SEED creating the intervention - SEED C.A.R.E.S. (COVID-19 Advocacy, Relief, Empowerment &amp; Support) in April 2020. The intervention packs (food, personal care &amp; hygiene packs, workbooks, radios and cash) reached 100 Student Families, 60 School Leaders and 81 Teachers. The whole experience between 2020\/21 brought to fore the importance of technology and the need to rethink our strategy. SEED decided to take a step back and review its journey, taking into account all the peer organisations that received DEEPEN support. The focus and traction of support  for low-fee private schools had waned.
