Advocacy Hub

SEED amplifies the role of the affordable non-state sector highlighting the need for a seat at the policy table and for a conducive operating environment. We also work to strengthen their associations to effectively serve members and advocate. We go further to strengthen state and national education systems, working with others to shape policy for system wide change.

We build stakeholder awareness and cultivate affordable non-state education sector champions.

We translate evidence into campaigns, talking points, and recommendations to influence policy and action. We engage in key state, national and global advocacy windows. We target policy makers, ensuring we are speaking with the right people and cultivating champions to affect change.

We go FAST & FAR when we go together.

  • Regulatory Frameworks

  • Learning Crisis

  • Out-of-School Children (OOSC)

SEED is the secretariat of the Coalition of Low-Fee Private Schools in Lagos State, Nigeria which has now expanded to the “All Hands On Deck” Collective.

Together, we are creating the evidence required to answer the fundamental question each association could not answer alone and we advocate for implementation at the state and local government area levels. These create an enabling environment but we know this this not enough. Education is not just technical, we know it is also “Political”. Hence, we are putting power in the hands of the people (school owners, school leaders, teachers, parents and students) to advocate. So we track policy opportunities, connect our people with decision makers and support them as a backbone. So we we can win and deliver policies that support the affordable non-state education sector. This bridge building work is how we create sustainable systems change… As a movement our voices are louder, our resources go further and we can achieve quality education for all children.

We would love your support in helping us amplify our voice so that more and more people, organisations and governments around the world can understand the challenges the affordable non-state education sector faces.
