Systems Research

Our work is grounded in research, evidence and continuous learning. SEED designs, pilots, monitors and adapts innovations, models, concepts and frameworks to local contexts for learning and scale. We produce and publish coordinated studies on topics related to the affordable non-state education sector. We then use evidence generated to mobilize and persuade strategic actors to pay attention to the sector. SEED is committed to making learning open, practical, and usable.

Research Initiatives & Approach

To expand ideas of what is possible with affordable non-state education, our Evidence & Learning approach includes:

  • Practice‑based learning

  • Policy process documentation
    and reflection

  • Financing insights from
    market‑level engagement

  • Use and adaptation of global
    frameworks and standards

We generate, consolidate and share evidence to inform policy and practice. We document what works (and what doesn’t) We educate and provide professional development opportunities for stakeholders to understand the affordable non-state sector. We conduct studies and assessments to generate evidence to address education issues as well as anticipate the future. We translate learning into usable assets.
